sarah anderson

sarah learned to exercise again after being hit by a drunk driver.

Sarah Anderson was hit by a drunk driver when she was just 22 years old. The accident left her unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. A former triathlete, she believed exercise was the best way to recover from her accident, but most gyms wouldn’t let her join for insurance reasons. But she kept looking until she found 24 Hour Fitness - where she found Wheelchair-friendly facilities and a trainer who took on the challenge of helping her re-learn how to exercise. The process wasn’t easy, but that didn’t stop her. She says, “I pride myself on being able to accomplish the impossible. You have to wake up every day kicking and fighting.” One year into her training program, she’s lost fat, built muscle, and says, “I couldn’t be happier...I feel better than I have in years.”

So inspiring! I was recently injured, and while nowhere near as serious as your injury, I know how it feels to try and get back in shape with limitations. Keep on going!

Sarah is awesome and has been an inspiration to me for some time now. Along with an indomitable spirit, she also has a tremendously bright personality and an enthralling presence that affects everyone she comes into contact with. 24hr Fitness couldn't have picked a better life story.

I knew your story, but I didnt know your story! I can honestly say that I loved your spirit from the very first moment I ever spoke to you. It was infectious in a way, and I knew I had to keep in contact with you :)

We all have stories to tell that will touch 12millionlives or more and I thank you for sharing yours!
