no room for failure
I was injured while serving on active duty durion Operation Iraqi Freedom. I "helped" two people from a very long trip to the bottom of the ocean, and in return i ruptured two discks and herniated a third. I had emergency surgery on August 1st 2008, and it was a failure, and has left me with a disbility rating. I have been since left in a world of hurt and chronic pain. I made a decision in October of 2009 after the death of my role model and hero to not become what this injury wanted me to be. Its slow and painful, but i am back, or should i say getting it back. I have since been to the gym 6 days a week, on a two bodypart a day training split to get things going. I'm grateful to have my little brother with me in this great quest, and to see him grow as well.
